1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Noor Notes iOS app and the website at noornotes-app.com (together, the “Services”). “Noor Notes,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Services.

The website is informational and does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If you email us, we process the information in your message so we can respond.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create or use an account, we may process your email address, display name, account identifier, authentication provider, verification status, and basic account timestamps. If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a private relay email address instead of your personal email.

Content and shared-space information

We process information you choose to create or share, including Noor Link membership and invite information, notes and reminders, photos, doodles, reactions, replies, important dates, favorites, activity status, relationship or shared-day settings, and other app preferences. People in the same Noor Link can see content shared in that link.

Device and notification information

If you enable notifications, we process a device push token and notification-related status needed to deliver reminders and keep widgets current. The app also stores preferences and cached content on your device.

Location, compass, photos, and camera

With your permission, the app uses location and compass heading to point the Qibla compass. This information is processed on your device for that feature and is not sent to our servers. Photo library and camera access are used only when you choose to attach or take a photo.

Purchase information

Apple processes payments for subscriptions and purchases. We receive and process subscription or entitlement status and limited transaction information needed to verify and provide paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details.

3. How we use information

• Provide, synchronize, personalize, and maintain the Services.
• Create and manage accounts, Noor Links, invitations, messages, widgets, favorites, and important dates.
• Send notifications you request and deliver shared reminders.
• Verify purchases and provide Noor Notes Pro features.
• Protect the Services, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and enforce our terms.
• Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
• Comply with law and protect users, Noor Notes, and others.

We do not sell personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

4. When we share information

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy:

• People you connect with. Content and activity you share in a Noor Link are available to the other members of that link.
• Service providers. Google Firebase provides account authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, and push-notification infrastructure. Cloudflare helps deliver and protect this website. These providers process information for us under their own terms and safeguards.
• Apple. Apple provides iOS, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit purchases, and push-notification delivery.
• Legal and safety. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful process, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or prevent fraud.
• Business changes. If the Services are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

5. Retention and account deletion

We retain account information and shared content while your account is active and as needed to provide the Services. We may retain limited records longer when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or backup integrity.

You can permanently delete your account inside the app. Your user profile and authentication account are deleted. If other members remain in a Noor Link, the link may remain as closed history for them, including content previously shared there. A Noor Link with no remaining members is deleted. 6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of personal information, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

• Update profile and connection settings in the app.
• Manage notification, camera, photo, and location permissions in iOS Settings.
• Delete your account in the app.
• Email [email protected] for a privacy request.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and access controls around shared spaces. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password, keep your device secure, and share invite codes only with people you trust.

8. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital-consent age in their country where higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate authorization.

9. International data transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and change the “last updated” date. We will provide additional notice when a change is material and applicable law requires it.
