Using Noor Notes

Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Noor Notes for use of the app and website.

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using Noor Notes, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

“Noor Notes,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Noor Notes iOS app and noornotes-app.com (the “Services”).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to digital services in your country if higher. If you are not old enough to enter a binding agreement, a parent or legal guardian must agree on your behalf.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for information submitted through your account and for keeping your credentials and devices secure. Provide accurate information, do not impersonate others, and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to:

  • Harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, or harm another person.
  • Share unlawful, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, or privacy-invasive content.
  • Upload malware, interfere with security, scrape the Services, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Reverse engineer or copy protected portions of the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Violate intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Use the Services for spam, commercial solicitation, or illegal activity.

We may investigate suspected abuse and restrict or remove access when reasonably necessary to protect the Services or others.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Noor Notes a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, transmit, display, and otherwise process that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services and meet legal obligations.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to share your content. You are responsible for what you share and for the consequences of sharing it with members of a Noor Link.

7. Quranic and faith-related content

Noor Notes offers Quranic text, translations, duas, dhikr, Qibla direction, and faith-related prompts for general informational and devotional use. Translations are interpretations, and technical features can contain errors. Noor Notes does not provide religious rulings or replace guidance from a qualified scholar. Please verify information that is important to a religious decision.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid features may be offered through Apple’s App Store. Prices, billing periods, trials, renewals, cancellation, and refunds are handled under the terms shown by Apple at purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple ID settings within Apple’s required timeframe.

Deleting the app or your Noor Notes account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings. Any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

9. Service availability and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may perform maintenance without notice. We aim to keep the Services reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. Keep your own copy of content you cannot afford to lose.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Noor Notes at any time and can delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate access when you materially or repeatedly violate these terms, create risk or legal exposure, or when required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer protections that cannot legally be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Noor Notes will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid Noor Notes in the twelve months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Noor Notes, without overriding mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the concern. Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear unresolved disputes.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Services or law changes. We will post the revised terms and update the date above. If a material change requires notice or consent, we will provide it as required by law. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
